4th of July Celebration

Every year, my family and I eagerly anticipate the city's 4th of July celebration. The event draws in a crowd of around 1,000 people, all gathered to witness the spectacular display of hundreds of fireworks lighting up the night sky. However, finding the perfect viewing spot can be quite a challenge, and the chilly summer evenings can sometimes dampen the festive spirit.

Despite these minor inconveniences, the excitement of the fireworks show makes it all worthwhile. The vibrant colors and booming sounds create a magical atmosphere that brings the community together. It's a cherished tradition that we look forward to, reminding us of the joy and unity that this holiday represents.

Only in Seattle

During a recent visit to the local mall, we encountered an unusual sight that caught us off guard: a broken toilet left behind in the desolate parking lot. While it's common to find litter strewn about in such areas, the presence of a discarded toilet was both surprising and oddly intriguing. This bizarre discovery sparked our curiosity and led us to ponder the story behind its abandonment, making for an unexpected adventure in an otherwise mundane outing.

End of The School Year

As the summer vacation approaches, it is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to Quigley Hall. This past academic year has been nothing short of amazing, filled with incredible experiences, wonderful friendships, and a sense of belonging that I will forever hold dear.

Throughout the year, I had the privilege of living among a diverse and vibrant community of residents who made my time at Quigley Hall truly special. From the first day of orientation to the final moments before we part ways, the bonds we formed have been invaluable. We laughed, we cried, and we supported each other through the ups and downs of college life.

One of the highlights of living in Quigley Hall was the array of fun events that took place within its walls. From the exhilarating carnival that brought laughter and joy to our hearts, to the enchanting Last Chance Prom that allowed us to dance the night away, and the cozy movie nights that provided a much-needed escape from our studies, each event brought us closer together as a community. However, it was the Halloween party in October that truly stole the show. The creativity and effort put into the costumes, the spooky decorations, and the contagious excitement in the air made it a night to remember.

While classes may have had their ups and downs, the presence of the Student Resident Assistant (SRA) and Resident Assistant (RA) in Quigley Hall made all the difference. Their unwavering support and dedication to our well-being ensured that we had a smooth transition into college life and a nurturing environment to thrive in. Whether it was offering academic guidance, organizing engaging activities, or simply lending a listening ear, they were always there for us.

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have been housed in Quigley Hall. It became more than just a dormitory; it became a home away from home. The sense of community and belonging that permeated its halls made every day a little brighter. From late-night study sessions in the common area to impromptu gatherings in the lounge, Quigley Hall fostered an atmosphere of camaraderie and support that I will forever cherish.

Leaving behind the familiar halls and cozy rooms feels bittersweet, knowing that I'll miss the late-night study sessions, impromptu hangouts, and shared meals with my fellow residents. The sense of community and camaraderie that Quigley Hall provided will always hold a special place in my heart. As I pack my bags and prepare to embark on new adventures, I carry with me the cherished moments and experiences that have shaped me during my time here. Farewell, Central and Quigley Hall, until we meet again in the fall.

Quigley Craziness

As the university year draws to a close and summer beckons, a group of students from Quigley Hall engaged in a thought-provoking discussion that spanned a variety of topics, including the pervasive issue of racism and the nuances surrounding humor that can be deemed offensive. The dialogue was rich and diverse, offering insights from different perspectives, and it was fascinating to witness the range of opinions and experiences shared among the participants. This exchange not only highlighted the importance of open conversation in addressing sensitive subjects but also fostered a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in navigating social issues within their community.
